SEAL is a textile-chemical company, leader in the production of systems in two broad areas: ballistic protection and advanced composites. Thanks to its ongoing research and development work, the company offers a wide range of fabrics, including multi-axial, prepregs with their own resin systems, and laminates for a variety of applications ranging from shipping to aerospace, automotive to building, ballistic protection to sporting goods. Seal products are all manufactured under ISO 9001 certification, which provides customers with an added degree of quality assurance.

Data Sheet

Saatilar¨ division manufactures the most advanced fabrics and systems available on the market covering the various civil and military applications for human protection. This division offers a complete line of products for different civil and military applications, above all for personal protection: bullet-proof and fragment-proof vests, military and police helmets, and intermediates for armoured land, sea and aircraft;

Texilar¨ provides a wide and innovative range of light armouring systems for vehicles, as well as trauma reduction and stab-protection systems. This division includes special laminates and panels for other industrial applications, including laminates with high fire resistance and low smoke emission characteristics;

Texindustria¨ offers an extremely wide range of dry fabrics and tapes in carbon, aramid, HT polyethylene, E - S and R glass fibres, and unidirectional and multi-axial materials, as well as hybrid fabric such as carbon/glass, carbon/aramid, aramid/glass, polyethylene/glass. This division covers an impressive range of applications in the automotive, aerospace, railway, shipping robotics, biomedical, and components industries for sports goods (surf boards, bicycles), helmets and structural reinforcement;

Texipreg® division manufactures unidirectional prepregs, fabrics and multi-axial prepregs, using epoxy, phenolic and thermoplastic resin systems formulated by Seal.

Concreflex¨ is Seal product line dedicated to applications in civil engineering and architectural restoring (fabrics, tapes, resins, panels). The carbon, glass and aramid fibre fabrics are suitable to be impregnated with SealÕs resin systems. The solid laminates can be bonded on concrete surfaces instead of the usual steel plaques to locally enhance the mechanical behaviour.

The main advantages of the use of composites in this application with respect to traditional techniques are: reduction of both times and costs ; increased mechanical performances (strength and toughness) of the restored structure.

Seal Marine¨ is the new product line devoted to the marine industry. This product line is the result of Seal 30 yearsÕ experience in composites and offers a complete range of products specifically designed for the needs of the marine field: fabrics, including multi-axial, prepregs and light armouring systems.
